Went up to Shaver lake with the Rover Crew to run Bald mountain trail.
Camped at Camp Edison.
I used every piece of recovery equipment i own except my hilift. Even though I managed to never get stuck myself
Good Times!

freakin' awesome

I owned a Disco once. Paid $6K for it. Put $6k into in parts over 12 months. Sold it for $4k.
I miss that thing, it was such a fun vehicle off-road.
Nice pics.

Great pics! Those "neckwarmers" must have a gazillion lbs. load capacity...

GREAT looking Rovers!

yea if you get a bad truck to start with it can get expensive. But I think that goes for any make of vehicle. If I didn't do all of the service work and repairs on my truck there is no way I would be able to afford a rover or any 4x4 for that matter.
Thanks guy

Great picks. I was up at Shaver last Sept (I prefer the warmer seasons up there). We stayed at Dora Bella across the cove from camp Edison. Have you done the Dusy Ershim trail yet? It takes about 2 1/2 days to go 39 miles and is a jewel of a trail. You start at Courtwright resevoir and end up by Hunington resevoir. On a scale of 1-10 the pucker factor is an 11 the scenery is a 20.

Thanks
My buddy and I are going to be putting together a group to run Dusy probably with about 6 trucks this summer.
I've seen pictures of the trail look like there is a few gnarly sections.

Love the Camel Rig / Awsome colors. You know for an rover guy. You dont take bad pics
-
Great pics. Is that a Defender 110? I love those.

DW,
You'll love Dusy, I did it with some friends a couple of years ago and I couldn't of made it if one of them didn't bring 2 pair of steel spans with center supports. 1 pair was 6" and the other was 4". Also we used our fire wood to fill in holes and such to get over and then picked our wood back up. If I were to try it again I would bring a heavy solid steel pry bar about 6" long and 1 1/2 inches thick for moving rocks and things.
Study up on this place and read what others suggest to bring. It definitely was a trip of a lifetime.
