Comments:
My introduction to offroading was through the club: I didn't intend to go past simple dirt roads when I first bought the Xterra, but after going out with the group to Big Bear in 2009, I found myself spending a lot more time off the pavement. I have been pleasantly surprised with how much I've been able to do with 2WD, and know 4WD will be the next step!

Heya, just checking in here! I've been keeping myself busy with school and work, but wheeled a bit here and there my free time. I'm still just 2WD for now, but hopefully I can tag along again on one of the easier runs. :)
-
Finally got a chance to get the UCAs installed!
After the new shocks are on, I think that'll be all for this truck aside from some 'portable' mods (CB, lights, etc.).
For being a 2WD open diff truck, I think it's done fantastic.

Bradshaw Trail, coming up in late Feb.

Awesome! It'll be a great reason for me to install a CB radio. :) Thanks for the notice Ghost!

Just wait till you see the what happens next ;)

That is the second reference I've seen to this secret upcoming mod. Is something REALLY big in the works?!? :o
-
Well I can say it is not a SAS/4WD conversion for now, I can't follow in Jason's footsteps just yet, but it's definitely something for the X. :)

Whistle tips?!

Top secret mods are better :D
-
I smell a roof rack.....
-
Based on Deadpilot's recent post, my guess is rear corners. Eagerly waiting to see. 8)

The lighting is not the best, but here are the results of the last few mod days. I had recently bent up the exhaust pipe, so I chopped it right after the bend it had. It's a bit shorter than I've seen most, but I've checked the area underneath the truck right after the exhaust pipe, and nothing has gotten close to hot after a drive. The AAL, shock, and U-bolts are all working very well, a lot of the smaller road and trail bumps I had previously felt are gone. Now I just gotta clean the back end for that dirt, funny how it decides to get in there. :)
