There's only one thing wrong with this pic............it's a second gen.

j/k bro, that is a great pic.  I like it.

Then again, a first gen would look just that much better.

I'm getting some rub issues. I did the melt mod and I am still getting rubbing on the very tip of the corner of the rear of the front fender liners. I need to just get rid of the fender liners!

Anyone have any ideas?

I had the same rubbing, when I lifted mine, and installed 285/70/17's. I melted modded the crap out of the fender, but it still rubbed in the same spot yours does. I ended up using an razor, at the last Cleghorn run, to cut away the rear corner of the front fender. I cut, just the area that was rubbing, and WHA LAH.

You don't want to lose the fender liners. They prevent a ton of road noise and other stuff.
I love it when a plan comes together

Yeah I took a razor blade and cut the plastic fender liner in the corner. Still getting rubbing. I'm gonna need to shave away some metal I think. I didn't even step up to 285's! It's the damn ProComp wheels causing it I think!

You are right the offset of the Procomps I believe is appr.  1 1/2 inches outset which is causing you're rubbing.   With my Procomps and a 2 1/2 inch lift, I still had to "trim" the inner lip of the fender to get it to clear.

I think I will need to trim a little sheet metal. If I go off roading, I will probably get even more rubbing the way it sits now. I also think I am going to raise the front Radflo's about a 1/4 inch. I lowered them quite a bit from where they were set down to the factory "rake".

Don't know if its a misprint or not but 3000 lb recovery straps are junk, step up to a 20,000 lb minimum.  Otherwise nice rig.

UPDATE!!

Got rid of the ProComp 7089's and picked up some 16x8.5 Level 8 Guardians. No more rubbing! :)

Also, this past weekend I painted the upper front grille flat black. I think it turned out really nice!

I'll paint the lower portion and rear bumper next time I have a chance as well!
