Well it definitely not designed for Off-Road

Smaller motor 2.5L instead of 4.0

Less HP 165 instead of 261

Less Departure angle 26.6 instead of 28.8

Looks to me that Nissan is trying to do with the Xterra like they did the Pathfinder. They turned it into a mall crawler for soccer moms with the no-offroad option.

No thanks.

Leave it to Nissan to pussify a once strong machine into another mommy wagon.

I dunno, looks like the platform is similar to Xterra/Frontier and Pathfinder before they turned it into a minivan.  little bit longer wheelbase than the xterra but same as 2nd gen pathfinder (112" vs 106") with 5 link and coil springs in the rear instead of leafs or independent rear of the pathfinder.  front suspension looks identical so titan swap :D .  2.5l motor looks similar to the 2.5 that came in the base model frontiers, but probably updated a bit.

Shorten up the frame, ditch the 3rd row and put in the new 3.8 and you have a pretty solid vehicle.
