Title: AZXC Info!
Post by: 11Pro4X on January 20, 2013, 09:27:57 AM
SCCX has always been a great friend to AZXC so we wanted to say THANK YOU!

This thread we will post the latest information from AZXC so here goes!

We had an awesome turnout for our first meeting of 2013! Lots of trucks showed up and a lot got accomplished during the MOD day.

We have a new logo! Thanks to our member Rev who has won a free supporting membership. AZXC is growing in 2013 and we are in the process of printing the new stickers for our supporting members!  If you have not become a supporting member, you better hurry.  The new logo is up on the website www.azxterraclub.com.

We would like to thank all of our sponsors for 2013, Boulder Nissan, Hunter OffRoad, Nisstec Lifts, Raingler Nets, Rigid Industries, Rock Auto, XT Fabrication, Xoskel and Warn.  As many of you know we have a lot of stuff to give away from our sponsors and will be doing so throughout the year to our supporting members. Congratulations to Thefatmike for winning the Raingler raffle today!

Our next meeting is scheduled for February 16, 2013.  We are going to be going to Tucson for a weekend camping trip. Details will be posted up on our forum.

One last thing, welcome to all the new members of AZXC.  When you guys and gals get a chance post up a build thread we all want to see what you are rolling around town in. We are well over 200 members and continue to grow as each day goes by.  It

Marcin, I have browsed your build on thenewx many times.  My wife loves your dog we are looking at getting one once we leave the retarded restrictions of base housing.

Love how you guys set up some of those trail sections!

Thanks man!  Its constantly changing.

As for a Doberman, if its your first dog, I will caution you away from a Doberman.  They are a ton of work, and a lot of expenses when they are a puppies.  From proper ear cropping (Tracon's ears cost me $800 bucks and I would not just take him to any vet to get them done.  Ear cropping is an art!) to how rambunctious they are!  They are in the top ten of the smartest breeds and top ten of the best guard dogs.  They require a lot of work.  Tracon is too smart for his own good.  Also know that dobermans kinda imprint only on one person in the house as the dominant one and they will be loyal to that person no matter what.  I am partial to Dobies since my grandfather breed them in Europe and I grew up around them.  As many times as Tracon has pissed me off or done something he shouldn't have the good stuff makes up for his mistakes.  If you have any questions about Dobermans let me know I am very versed on the breed.

Thanks for checking out AZXC!

January is over and February is off to another fast pace! Thank you to everyone who helped start off the year with a bang as AZXC has taken off for 2013.

The new 2013 design stickers have arrived and we are in the process of shipping those out to all of the supporting members.  You should have them by the end of the week.  If you are scratching your head and wondering what new sticker looks like then check out the forum.

Need some AZXC Gear; check out www.azxterraclub.com/AZXCGear. We have placed our first order for T-shirts and sweatshirts.  These will be back from the printer by February 15th right in time for the Tucson Camping trip that weekend.  If you ordered any gear we will have it down with us at the Tucson trip to hand out.  We are also in the process of putting together an aluminum water bottle order; more information again is on the forum.

Wondering when the next Xcursion is?  Check out www.azxterraclub.com/Xcursions.  There is a lot of upcoming trips all over the region.

March has become a busy month! We have a lot of member coordinated events, meeting and lots of other stuff!

We are less than two weeks away from the chili cook-off! March 16 at 1130 at the Kiwanis Park in Tempe in ramada number 4 is where the festivities will be. This is a great time every year and we are a excited to see everyone again.

March 23 and 24 is the Arizona Game and Fish Department Outdoor Expo. This year we will be representing at the expo. We will be a booth located in the OHV area and will have a vehicle on display. This is a free event so bring the family out and check it out. If you want to volunteer during this event the help is needed so check out the forum.

Check out the website and forum for other events and hope to see you at these events!

With one weekend left in the month of March it has been a busy one! Thank you to everyone who came out to the chili cook off. As always it was a good turn out and good times to hang out and sample some chili made by some of our members. It was also fun meeting the new members of the club.

We also just finished up our showing at the AZ Game and Fish Department Outdoor Expo.  This was a great opportunity to showcase our club to many our door enthusiasts. We would like to thank the members who came out and donated their time to staff our booth.  We had a few trucks showcased out there as well with a lot of interest in the Nissan off road community.

At the AZGFC Outdoor expo we committed to teaming up with HeroOffroad.Org.  Hero Offroad is a nationwide community based volunteer organization by Offroaders for Offroaders, dedicated to honoring our Nations war veterans, wounded soldiers and their families. Please check them out at HeroOffroad.org.

In April we have our Sedona trip. We are going to be camping for the weekend and wheeling some of the great trails up north in our state.  Make sure you sign up on the forum for this weekend adventure. Hope to see everyone out for that.

Thanks again to everyone who makes this club what it is, special thank you to all of our supporting vendors as well!

Hello

I was wondering if you could help or knew someone who could...

I'll be surprising my dad for father's day this year; he lives in Prescott.

I have been given the ok to take him wheeling on Sat the 15th of June.

I was wondering if someone who knows the area could recommend a trail or two that we could hit; nothing too crazy as he's a bit older and I don't wanna break him....but I'm sure he could hold on to the 'OH ISHT' grips and have an ear to ear grin....

Thanks....
