Can someone in the big bear area tell me how the snow is right now . I'm planning on running Dishpan and Holcomb tomorrow .

Just to be clear I'm not going because I want snow. No snow would be great , just looking for info because I don't want to make a difficult trail very difficult . If there is a lot of snow I might just go to anza tomorrow .

Are the big bear trails covered with snow I guess is my question. Like Lava said I can see the mountain and I see the snow. But is it 1' deep or small patches here and there?

Dude, just go and find out yourself!  I mean, how much snow can there be after 1.5 wks of 75 deg weather down in the IE.   Thats what makes the trip an adventure!

I'd bet at the worst you would have patches and mud in the northern exposures.   I remember Gatekeeper on John Bull on March.   Mucho mud made for a long day winchin' and strappin'

Dishpan Springs

First Rock

Infamous Waterfall

Holcomb Creek

First 200 feet of Holcomb is the only difficult part
