For anyone travelling into Big Bear here is the latest and the greatest:

The following Recreation Sites and Roads are CLOSED in RED.
Big Bear Area Southside:
2N10 (YP #25), 2N10D, 2N10E, 2N10F,2N51Y,2N08,2N17,2N86 (YP #30), 2N86A,2N11 (YP #28 and #29), 2N11A, 2N11B,2N06,1N54,2N27,2N93 (Target Shooting Area) and 2N93D (YP #54).

 Big Bear Area Northside:

3N09,2N09C (Bertha Peak Closed Year Round)

Eagle Closure: Juniper Point Picnic Area, Meadows Edge Picnic Area.

 Fawnskin Area:

2N13 at 3N14 the Gate is Locked. 2N13B at 2N13 the Gate is Locked (Butler Peak Lookout), 2N80 (YP #2), 2N70, 2N04X (YP #1), 2N68 (YP) and 2N01X (YP #3).

Eagle Closure: Grays Peak Trail Head (1W06) and Grout Bay Picnic Area.

Green Valley Lake Area: 2N19, 2N13 at 2N54 the Gate is Locked.

Running Springs Area: (1N96) Children’s Forest and Keller Peak Lookout.

Lake Silverwood Area: 2N03, Eagle Closure:2N63.

 Additional Closures

Onyx/Heart Bar Area:

2N61YB (Lake Fire Closure), 1N01 (Lake Fire Closure), Yellow Post Sites and Coon Creek Cabin - OPEN1N05 including all Spur Roads (Lake Fire Closure), 1N17A (Lake Fire Closure, 1N84 (Lake Fire Closure), 1N62Y (Lake Fire Closure)

1N78 Poopout Hill (Lake Fire Closure)

  Trailheads (Lake Fire Closure, Forsee Creek (1E06) - OPEN, South Fork (1E04), Lost Creek (1E09), Aspen Grove (2E05), Fish Creek (1W07).

  Check the Forest Order for additional Lake Fire Closures.

Yes, they just close the ones that get a high snow load or have had a lot of fire damage and erosion is an issue. Other than that the rest generally stay open year round.
