Didn't see another one in my back reading of everything on the site.

Just curious as to what everyone does for a living?

Always cool to see the different backgrounds that come together over a certain hobby.

I for one, was in retail for 10 years with PetSmart, that ended in August 15', and since then, i've resurrected my home business of servicing and upgrading fishing reels. Mainly bass fishing, and the swimbait fishing crowd. Been doing that for about 6 years now, and started taking heavy traffic again in September, although, it's getting old, so back into the job search for me!

Just recently got into glass etching as well! The wife and I may open an Etsy shop to generate vacation funds etc. She makes Jewelry and such.

I'm an aircraft maintainer in the Air Force. I worked F-15s for 8 years, then I got forced over to the UAV world, which I've been in for almost 5 years. I won't get into specifics about my current job, but it's a totally different world than fighters.

Here's me sitting on top of a 15 at the Andersen AB airshow in 2007. I'm the one not wearing a flight suit.

Just an IT guy for the Riverside county Kaiser hospitals and medical office buildings.  Doesn't sound exciting but I love what I do and the people I work with..  I always say it's like I get paid to hang out with cool people and work is a by product of that.

I'm a retail execution manager for Sony Electronics. Been employed with them for 14 years. I also spent about 4 years with the Riverside County Fire Department.

On the side, I moonlight as a freelance photo journalist (keeps me close to my firefighting roots).

I worked in hospitality for "a long time" and made the decision about two years ago to try something different.

That has included The Home Depot (garden sales associate), GEICO Insurance as a call center agent, and more recently a folding aluminum table salesman.

I am medically retired Marine due to combat injuries. I served 8 years and change before I was retired. So right now no work for me minus the little things to keep me from loosing the rest of my mind. Hahaha. I spend way too much time at the VA and other doc office to do much more right now.

I have been a mathematics tutor/manager at a private tutoring center for about six years, usually high school math up to calculus, and about a year and a half starting on the management side. I plan to become either teacher/professor at a community college or university, or an actuary within insurance.

Thank you guys for your service.

I'm a Rope Access Technician. I do inspections and maintenance on things that are difficult to access, like oil refinery towers, dams, and wind turbine blades.

That's from one of our sea trails a few years ago.

Lots of military!  Thanks guys for protecting our country. I'm a machinist in a production shop thus I don't get to make anything fun.  I'm the one guy who hopes oil prices go back up as it's causing a real slow down in our field.

Your job is pretty awesome too Rick. I miss kind of miss turning wrenches on aircraft. I used to be an airframer on hueys and cobras in the Marine Corpse Reserves.

Nice thread Geoff. A lot of us have cool jobs.
