Sounds like fun with a MTB group ride as well. I may have to attend.

I was thinking more of the beer garden. ;)

Don't drink and drive obstacle courses ...... until I have a chance to grab some popcorn.
I THOUGHT there was some mention of a course but I could be off on that one.
I'll be the black 1st Gen. Also hanging out with LandOps in case anyone is interested in Ham stuff.

I'm going to try to make it. I'm getting new shoes on the Taco Saturday morning. Need new tread for CANVAZ.

Are you going with 35's locked etc?

Are you going with 35's locked etc?
It's already rear locked. I have never needed the front locked so I good there. I have the 3" lift on it now so I'm going with 33". I dont feel like hacking up the fenders just yet to fit the 35's. The one thing I am saving my pennys is new gears. The taco is already a dog off the line, addind bigger tires is going to make it worse. 5.29's are in the near future.

Interested in this build...been eyeing 5.29's for quite a while through Nitro Gear, polished, etc.
Which three inch lift did you choose and who installed it?
Been looking at a local outfit (SDHQ) and met Jason DeMello at OVX this year, but he is in Cali.

I wish I would have known about you wanting to re-gear. I just got a deal for 4:56 gears, installation, seals, fluids etc both axles out the door for $1,600.

I found a simple spacer leveling kit that raised it 3" front and 2" rear on Amazon. I think is was KSP Performance. Installed in an hour in my driveway. Also looking at OME springs for the back, not to keen on the lift block.
Bigger tire require body mount chop which I did at a buddy's house.

Hey... I Don't go on TacoLand and talk about Xterra's
lol

It was a nice small chill event.
Tuff Stuff was there in force but no annexes out??? We are trying to fit two adults and two kids without having a full condo bolted to the top of the rig so we are thinking about a smaller tent with the girls in the annex.
Kitchen stuff is also on the wish list so we also looked at some kits. Trail tampons, er, trailers were in abundance and I got some kitchen ideas from those too.

Those roof top tents are nice and can solve a lot of problems for some people. My prediction is in under 10 years you won't see them much at all. I run around town these days and the only thing I have yet to see a roof top tent mounted to is a Godforsaken prius (Yes I know blasphemy). It's just my opinion but if you want a really restful night not really caring what the weather is doing with a whole lot of room get a Shiftpod and a couple of cots.

That looked like a really cool exposition, nice Jeep with the RTT...I bet there were a lot of Toyotas there too. :D :D :D

I agree Erik...RTT's are cool for those who like to climb and do the hot box yoga 3am wake up your partner pee break, but the Shiftpod was a true overlanding game changer...then we sold it. :D :D :D

You have just posted that which can not be unseen. I think you have broken all the rules of the internet today.

It was pretty much Vans, Toyotas and Jeeps, more vans that toyotas honestly.
-
Don't forget those goofy mountain bikers. They were everywhere, NOT. ;)
Poor Jordan drove all the way out there to be the only person interested in doing the trail ride.
-
No, I found out the ride was at 1, despite the website saying it was at 2. I just went on a ride by myself.
