These tires look great but they are very loud at very low speed, like cruising in a parking lot.  You can hear every knub.  They are actually quiet on the freeway.  No drone inside the cabin.

Has anyone experienced any luck changing to HD front springs AND 1.5" spacers with the stock A-arms?

Just adding the spacer with stock UCA's was a pain, can't imagine what it would be like with heavy springs. Good luck.

Thought I read somewhere not to combine spacers and HD springs?

Would I need to upgrade my lower control arms at this point then, before I get the spacers?

Irwin...find out what type of HD springs you are looking at.  Are they stock length HD springs, or longer?  If they are stock, you may be able to use the spacers.

If the springs are longer, which means they also provide lift as well as stiffer spring rate, then no, you don't want to use the spacers.  Longer springs and spacers will make the truck difficult, if not impossible to align.  Which is when you upgrade the upper control arms, not the lower.

Think of it like this:

Stock height springs, add spacers for lift.

Taller springs, no spacers and possible UCA upgrade.

Hope this helps!

Finally got around to welding in the new sliders/sidesteps for my X.  Been wanting to do it for a year or so.

Sporting the XOC colors... cool!
I used to run a ZEX fogger and an ACT clutch on my b13. Our tool boxes are similar.

Yeah, I used to have a 240SX track car used for Drifting, Time Attacks, & Time Trials.  Hence the name "SuperSlideStyle".

Ok, so, I got both sliders finally welded in place on the 2013 X.  Still working on a prototype pre-runner style light bar for thr front grill.  Pics are coming.  Also going to start a Gobi style hatch ladder soon.

Found these 2.25-3"  tube-mount accessory brackets at O'Reileys Auto Parts.  Seem very nice so far.  Stainless steel hardware will still need anti-seize compund applied to it.
