Local Trails
« on: June 02, 2016, 10:49:53 PM »
I want to take the family and try some close local trails. What trails within 100 miles of Long Beach do you recommend I try first. The closer the better since I will work my way out eventually. Only looking for mild to medium trails since I am mostly a stock 4x4. Anything near a lake or stream is a plus.  I have been to Azusa Canyon, Gorman OHV, and Cleghorn Rd. Please provide the basic information below if you know it:

1. Name of trail
2. Length of trail
3. Location of trail
4. What to expect and see there
5. 2wd friendly or 4x4 only
6. Anything else I should know

Thanks in advance.

Just did this trail over Memorial Day weekend!  Absolutely stunning views.  Can be a little un-nerving if you're not that great with heights while making the climb, however the trail is pretty easy.  I put it in 4WD twice, but only because it was just a little easier to do so.
