Title: Can't wait to take this thing off-road!
Post by: JNR on March 19, 2015, 07:50:36 PM
Bought this Xterra on New Year's Eve this past year...it is a 2014 PRO-4X, Night Armor with 6-speed. I had wanted one for a couple years, but things just didn't work out.

A few years ago, I had a 2011 PRO-4X Frontier Crew Cab and really loved that truck, other then it being an automatic :( The saving factor was it had the luxury package, so that helped make up for it a little...Still, missed a manual. Picked it up slightly used for an awesome price so I made do. Reason I sold it was that I had gotten laid off and finally got another job but it was relatively far. Missed the truck a lot.

But, will have to say I like this Xterra even more! Maybe the manual has a lot to do with it, but it's all the little touches and practical things they did and all the ideas to make your own.

I used to be heavy into off-roading, but it has been about 10 years for anything serious. I took the Frontier to the mountains on a snow trail and had another 4x4 in-between I took once (didn't own it long), but I *really* miss the outdoors. Not going to do the rock crawling stuff I used to, but do like some challenge...scenery and just enjoying the outdoors off the main roads is more my goal this time around...but, we know how intentions go and escalate, haha.

Welcome from Murrieta! You have the holy grail there, being a Pro 4X 6 speed manual in night armor. :)

Where are you from?

Ah, didn't realize that, although is my favorite combo :)

I'm in Downey.

I used to do traffic signal design back in the early 00's and Murrieta was one of the areas we did (all over Riverside County). I should dig up some of my old photos and compare them to how it is now, lol.
