   The seal was destroyed. Came out in chunks.

Still have to bolt on the drive shaft and fill the diff with oil. If I didn't screw this up, we should be good for this weekend.

Hey looks like you hit the flange someway.   Same thing I did.   Remember the time, you were hanging out the window to see where that awful metal to metal sound was coming from  ;D and you decided it was the buggered flange against the drive shaft.  I destroyed the seal by trying to pull the flange away from the other piece that fit inside it.

Just did a couple 80mph passes on the freeway. Not a drop of oil around the pinion.
