Here are a few of my pictures. My family and I had a blast. Thanks to everyone for making it such a great time.
Airing down.

John checking out Dan's new Power Ranger action figure. This simple mod gave Dan an extra 15 hp and 25% gas milage increase.

What is Dan up to?

That boulder is groovy, man.

The yellow one is made of hand-me-downs from the white one. Thanks Bobby.

Rachel got a flat tire and didn't even change it herself. Bobby pretends he doesn't know what's going on.

We found some wildlife. Too bad I'd already had lunch.

This used to be the best part of the drive but this section is now closed.

Oh, I'm not pretending. Hehe.

It was a fun trip. To bad the upper part was blocked off. Oh and thanks for having dinner with us Mitch, it was good seeing you and everyone else. It had been way to long.

It was great talking with you and your friends at dinner. Thanks for sharing a table with us. BTW where did you guys end up camping. Please tell me you didn't camp at the dump.

Well we started the day with 14 trucks (or as Rachel would say, 12 SUVs and 2 trucks). 5 of us camped way in the back of Sandstone Canyon. The weather could not have been better, high of about 80 and down to maybe 50 at night, very little wind.
Thanks again to everyone for making this a fun day. Here are a few of my pics.
Made the usual stop at the Julian Pie Company, which was gearing up for a busy day in advance of Thanksgiving.

Rachel and Robin took off in their trucks. We met up with them later for lunch.

Lined up at Split Mountain. Once we got Paul up to speed on the rules (I think the ranger was shadowing us the rest of the day) we headed up Fish Creek to Sandstone Canyon.

The Anticline at Split Mountain, formed by an earthquake many years ago when this whole area was under water. Before global warming.

At the end of Sandstone Canyon. I don't remember what Mitch was talking about, but it must have been interesting.

Dan took care to hide his stash from Bruce and his friends.

At the campsite.

Bobby's fire pit worked really well.

So Bruce, where did you wind up camping? Did your friends enjoy the trip? I didn't get much of a chance to talk with them.

Looks like its was a fun time - bummed I had to work.
Great seeing John out there.
As always great pictures guys

We did end up camping at the dump :) and yes there is a story behind that but it will have to be told at the next outing.
Frank- Yes my friends had a lot of fun. Duran (the tall asian kid) has gone out many time with me before and once on a run. Sorry we didn't camp with the group but we didn't want to make that drive at night.

Dude -- a dump? Say it ain't so.

But it sounds like Bruce camped at the dump voluntarily.

Here are a few more from last weekend. I tweaked a couple of the images a bit in iPhoto.
Back up lights.

Hey, to me, the Valero Plain was like an $800 a night experience.
Oh wait...
-
There was nothing wrong with camping at the dump. You all just dont understand... :'( lol

Great pics. Sounds like you guys had a great trip. That area is a lot of fun.
