I just got this in my email and thought I would pass it along to everyone who has done any volunteer work here for SCCX or donated time and money with the various other groups. I would like to personally like to say thank you to all of you. As a group here in Southern California a lot of work gets accomplished to maintain these trails and keep them open for everyone to enjoy.
The email:
Hello Adopt-a-Trail Volunteers. After lots of hard work by our Adopt-a-Trail Volunteers contributing long hours and accomplishing many difficult tasks, we (SBNF) ranked #1 in the State of California. This accomplishment was made by competing against 46 other entities (National Forests, BLM, State Parks and Non-Profits) state-wide (please see attachment) for OHV grant dollars. We were awarded just under $700,000 for next year. October 1, 2018 thru September 30, 2019 This amount does include money to purchase a brand new Adopt-a-Trail Bulldozer (we’ll have two now)!
We couldn’t have done this without your help!
Thank you Adopt-a-Trail Volunteers!!!!!
Sincerely,
Greg.
