Hey everyone! Alex here. I'm a student right now, living Moreno Valley, and often find myself in Riverside. I just finished my years at RCC, and I'll be transferring to UCR this fall, majoring in math. I've had my yellow 2002 2WD V6 X for about half a year now, and love every bit of it (except the 2WD part, I didn't expect that I could make use of 4WD so soon!). I'm no stranger to the outdoors: I've done a good bit of mountain biking, hiking and camping (some snowboarding too), and hopefully I can explore some more taking the X out. I hope to join you guys for a run sometime!

Welcome Alex. Look forward to meeting you on one of the outings. Good luck with your studies.

Thanks! I'll be busy, for sure. The Xterra is bone stock right now, so I'm limited to the roads and some terrain, but I'm looking to see what I can do with it.
And some pictures of the X being too clean for it's own good (I've since replaced the worn tires on it):

You've got the most important mod done, YELLOW.

Hey Alex - I think I've seen your truck around.
I live in Moreno Valley and work part-time at the UCR Extension. :)
We make plenty of trips a year that are 4x2 friendly.

(I'm sporting my yellow simile face look on the lights now that it's summer)

Yep, most likely then: I work in the Canyon Crest town center during the school year, and in part-time in Running Springs for this summer. What do you do there?
Ah yeah, the yellow is pretty sweet: I've read a bit about it. :)

Welcome Alex.
We'll certainly have some runs you can do in your X. There are lots of places in Anza Borrego and the surrounding mountains that are easily done in 2WD. Just need to wait a few months for cooler weather. I don't know Big Bear at all, but there are probably some really scenic fire roads up there that are worth checking out, and they're not that far from you.

Welcome Alex. Yeah, plenty of 2wd stuff in Big Bear that still get's you out on the trails.

its all about the yellow

Hola.

First mods are done: rear sway and step bars are off! Standard procedure, I figure. :)

Good move.
