Excellent Elliott.  Nightmare gulch sounds scary.  Was it?
I'd rather be happy than right any day.

Not going to lie when we got on the trail I peed a little bit.

All and all not too bad.... had some Tippy sections with low over hangs, which with the roof top tent and huge roof rack was interesting.

Used low range the Rear air locker for most of the trail but could have done it without. I didn't use the front locker at all.

An xterra could make it through with 31''+ Tires and a lift and a set of sliders. Stock with no sliders would be a blood bath.

The so cal land rover club was up there running the trail too. They had a few stock LR3 and mildly build Discoverys running the trail.
Some dude blew out a back window on his new LR3 he learned the hard way that street tires don't work very well offroad.

So of max's photos

Rovers Clogging the trail

Some times you have to duck down inside the truck to make your rig fit under the overhang hahaa

Pretty cool scenery

I like sammiches.  And bacon.  Sammiches with bacon.  And chips.  Lots of chips.

Great pics.  And great ride too.  You can tell you use often in a good way.  Where were those pictures taken at?  And how have those tires worked out for you?  I'm shopping for some new rubber.

Thanks. yea i try to get off the beaten path quite a bit. Those pictures are from Nightmare Glutch/last chance canyon. Close to Jawbone off the 14 freeway.

These tires are amazing. 285/75/16 Cooper STTs I would def recommend  them.
not too loud on the road, like my swampers were.
When air down in the sand you can go anywhere
