SCCX Adopt A Trail 2N02
« on: March 26, 2016, 01:18:01 AM »
Since the weather has been getting better and I've seen a lot of new membership in the "Not-A-Club" club, I was wanting to organize a weekend trip out to our trail. I would like to see as much participation as possible but keep it pretty low key and very family friendly. If anyone wants to deviate from the schedule and run John Bull, Dishpan Springs etc. by all means that can be accomplished. Let me know what you guys think and would like and I'll do my best to make it happen.

This newbie is interested as long as it doesn't interfere with my hockey league games.  :)

I'm in, except for Memorial Day weekend and June 9-10. April pretty full for SCCX, too.

I'm in but don't have any control over my schedule unless I've got a solid months notice. Really want to do the trail & would definitely prefer to not do it solo. I'll keep an eye on here.

I could be down for this as well. Would this be the entire trail? Would we start on the Big Bear side?

Nothing firm is in the works yet. I'm busy all month so maybe May after the Mojave Rd. I would like to run the vast majority of the trail and do some cleanup and maintenance where needed if any. Just putting the word out there beforehand. There is nothing preventing anyone here from putting together their own trip to run that trail if you guys want to run it this month or next. The only thing I would ask is take an accurate account of the time spent, number of people and what type of cleanup etc. you did so I can forward the info to the parks.

When's the next quarterly meeting?  It's been quite some time since I've been to one of those
