Hello,
Glad I found your club.
I had a 2005 Xterra Off-road 4x4 and loved it. Unfortunately I don't have it any more. I miss getting off road.
I've been thinking about getting another Xterra for a couple years now, but not sure that's going to happen.
In the meantime I have a bunch of recovery gear that isn't getting any use.
I though the club might be able to use it.
Who runs the club?
I'd like to talk to them about donating the recovery gear.
Cheers,
Mark

Hey Mark, welcome to the forum! The thing is, we aren't really a "club," per say. We're just a group of people who meet on the internet and then meet in real life to wheel and camp. No dues, no organization... just a bunch of people having fun!
-
Hi Mark.
We are less of an official club(no dues) and more of a group of like minded individuals with a common interest in camping and offroading Nissans and enablers of spending each others money.
We do have a board of directors of which I am a part, I also administer the website.
I appreciate the offer of the recovery gear and suspect we could get it to a good home. We have CANVAZ coming up in October so it could come in handy for any newbies that come under prepared.

Welcome!!
these 2 gentlemen basically said what I wanted to say... See you at our events coming up this year. Cheers!

Welcome Mark!

Thanks for the welcome everyone.
Sound like you guys could find somebody who could make good use of the recovery gear. It isn’t doing anyone any good in my garage.
Just need to find a way to get it to you. Do any of you live near Torrance. You’re welcome to drop by and pick it up.
Cheers,
Mark

We have a couple of members in the Long Beach area. I will also be down that way tomorrow - I have to be in Los Alamitos at 0900, but I could swing by your place around 8:00 or 8:15 am, if that's not too early for you.
-
Tomorrow would be fine.
Send me an email and we can coordinate further.
Thanks,
Mark

I’m in Long Beach. If for some reason Joe can’t stop by, drop me a message and I’ll see what I can do.
-
Turns out I won't be able to stop by after all. Sorry 🙁
-
I’ll be driving down to San Clemente next Sat 7/28 and could drop the gear off on my way down around 9AM, or on the way back around 4-5PM if that works.
-
That works for me. I’m right off the 405 & Bellflower. Could meet you right off the freeway at the Chevron station on Bellflower and Los Coyotes Diagonal around 9am. It is right off the 405 & Bellflower south fwy exit.
Hey thanks for picking this up for us it's really appreciated and kudos to CNRRNS. I'm actually on the horn with one of the BOD's and we were hoping to donate some of this stuff to newer off roaders at CANVAZ that maybe don't have a whole lot of cash to help them out. Are you going to CANVAZ? If not was wondering how best to get it here to us maybe putting the items in a box and mailing it at my expense.
Again thanks for the help!

I like the idea of bringing the gear to CANVAZ and donating it to some of the newer cash strapped folks, especially since you guys are hosting the event this year. I don't think it makes sense to put it in the mail, its pretty heavy. It's probably best to hand it off to someone who's going to CANVAZ. Here's a list of the gear.
1. Xterra Recovey Gear
a. Safety seal
b. Viair 200P
c. Shovel
d. Tire chains (RUD Grip 4x4)
e. Heavy duty gear
i. Hi-lift jack
ii. Hi-lift off-road base & rope handle
iii. Hi-lift jack Lift-Mate
iv. Hi-lift jack isolator
v. Hi-lift fix-it kit
vi. JackMate
vii. ¾” bow shackles (9)
viii. 20 ft grade 70 chain (with hooks)
ix. 3 ft grade 70 chain (2) (with hooks)
x. Tree strap
xi. Crow bar
xii. Receiver shackle bracket
xiii. Pull-Pal 11,000 lb.
xiv. Amsteel Blue 3/8 poly rope
1. 40 ft
2. 20 ft (3)

That is a very complete recovery gear list ready for anything.
It would be great if you came out to CANVAZ personally, the camping area will be pretty accessible even if you do not have an off road vehicle.

I absolutely agree! I sent him a PM saying he is completely welcome to attend the event even if he doesn't have a 4x4. There will be plenty of trails available and I'm sure we could get him and his family into just about any run if they wished. This is a very gracious donation that's much appreciated and he needs to get deserved recognition for it.
