THIS POST WILL BE UPDATED AS DETAILS ARE FINALIZED
PLEASE BRING FIREWOOD!!!!
DATES:
10/25 - 10/27
CAMPING:
Coordinates:
36.6057569, -114.4706770
We've reserved a large section of the Clark County Fairgrounds for our home base for this year's CANVAZ meet. The space is reserved for Friday - Sunday. Anyone who wishes to arrive early can free camp at the Logandale trail system and join the rest of the crew on Friday at the fairgrounds.
The fairgrounds are located at;
1301 Whipple Ave
Logandale, NV 89021
We will have the majority of the South Midway area near the main entrance at our disposal including restrooms. RV hookups are avail at an adtl fee for any who would like the opportunity to bring an RV. Grounds tents can be placed on the very large lawn area. An adjacent dirt area is available for any with vehicle mounted roof top tents as parking vehicles on the lawn for anything other than loading/unloading does damage to the grass, shocker, I know. The dirt area will also be available for our evening campfires.
SCHEDULE:
Friday (10/25/19):
Arrival and camp set up
6:00 PM night trail run (easy/moderate)
Saturday (10/26/19):
9:45 AM moderate level trail run
9:45 AM hard level trail run
5:30 PM pot luck dinner
Sunday (10/27/19):
Potential trail run based on interest
This year we will be working with Silver State Nissans to organize the event.
More info can be found on our calendar under CANVAZ, which also has the link to the event Facebook page.

Added to my calendar as well. Can't wait!

Marked it down! We're planning on trying to rent a travel trailer, so hopefully wherever we camp, we'll be able to use it. We're crazy and will have a almost 2 yr old and 3 month old for the trip!

The Shift Pod won't work for that?

It's not that it won't...just trying to make things a little more comfortable for the wife, the 2 year old, and the 3 month old for that trip.

Hey guys. Lelan here with Silver State Nissans.
We’re working with Nick from Rogue to bring you this years CANVAZ XCURSION. We have created a FB page that can be used moving forward to house all the runs Info as well as a place for any photos and videos to be hosted. We felt like this is a great option as we can have one central location that can be used by all the admins from each respective state. So check out the link below to the page and let us know what cha think.
For those who don’t have Facebook we do have a website we will also be putting the info on as well as updating the available forums.

Hey hey hey now, let's not jump to conclusions there Mr. Green New Deal. As much as we all like Woody, I'm thinkin you should rather go pick him up on your Vespa and cart him in. The group image would be much better served.

PEER PRESURE >:D
-
If I was able to sleep on the ground or in a cot I would be more than happy to come out even if just to hang out. The timing unfortunately just isn't going to work this time.
-
What if we build you a pillow fort?

What if we build you a pillow fort?
Sorry buddy, as much as I want to go and hang out with all of you guys I'm out. They did a lot of work and the healing is really slow for mobility. Sleeping is laughable at best (Think napping all night). What's grinding my gears is I have a lot of time on my hands and can't do much of anything. I sit here and watch the temperatures dropping in the desert and just think of how much fun I would have if I was down there. The good part is I should be fine on the Winter Mojave so at least that's something for me to look forward to.

What if we build you a pillow fort?
???Now I'm stuck with the image of Steve and Eric having a pillow fight :o
-
Unfortunately, due to circumstances beyond my control, I will not be able to attend this year after all. :(
-
Well that bites. :'(

Jay and I are here, where's everyone at?

Well...... how was it? I'm so bummed I missed it this year, but my rig is down for the count at the moment with a bad timing chain. :(
-
This will not be a detailed trip report cause I suck at those.
facility was very nice and a great place to camp close to the trails.
Trails were very fun and the AZ guys picked great trails with challenging terrain and great scenery for all.
More details and pictures.

I second Jordan's comments, except that the NV guys picked great trails.
Thanks to Leland and Sean for being the trial leads and keeping most of us out of too much danger. The last obstacle on the Friday night run had quite the pucker factor. It was easily a 50 deg decent with a pretty good drop off the edge a the start then a fairly steep climb on the other side. That trail would have been fun during the day but he night just made it that much more exciting.
