Title: Spotted new 2019 or 2020 Frontier Diesel 4x4
Post by: KickinTires on September 19, 2018, 08:08:40 PM
I was returning from lunch and already stuck in a left turn lane when two lanes to my right a copper Frontier Crew Cab 4x4 w/ a Diesel placard went straight through the light and passed me by.  I was tempted to bust the light to get a closer look, but thought better of it.  Looked OK from the rear as it pulled away but I didn't really like the front view...  Time will tell.

I wonder if it was one of the ones from Mexico. I think a few people have spotted them around, but I wasn't sure if they were the diesel model or not.

It looks like you might be able to fit a bag of top soil in the bed of the truck lol

$433,000 might be a little rich for my blood.  There is one of these parked in the parking lot at my work everyday.  It's basically the same size as the current pickup.  I thought I heard the Navarro based truck is supposed to hit by the end of 2019 for the US.

$451,600 MXN for the Quad-cab diesel,  6 speed manual.

That is $24,052 USD.  Very reasonable.  Now you just need a Mexico address.

Careful, you're going to make Frank upset.

An old family friend, who just turned 100 last month, was interviewed by the local TV news. They asked him what the "secret" was to living that long. He said "don't get angry".  I'm thinking of trying to adopt that attitude.

Besides, it has been suggested, and I'm pretty sure it was directed at me, that "subtle innuendo" and "back-handed comments" were best to be avoided when it came to certain people, things and events.  In other words Steve, if you should decide to buy a trailer and haul it behind your Xterra to the ends of the earth, no matter if those ends be north of south, and no matter if you add a hood-bonnet to your truck to hold your recovery gear, I'm not supposed to say anything.  I guess I'm not supposed to instigate Celt into saying anything either.

As for the 2019 Frontier, I looked up the photos of the US model, and I have to agree with Mark that it does not look all that great on the outside.  But, it is just looks; don't know anything more about it.

Frank you know how difficult it is for anyone, especially you on this forum to instigate me........

I often see Navaras and Ford Rangers from mexico driving around, they have the new body style down there. The Nissan design center is located in La Jolla so every once in a while you will see new models around SD before they are out.

Supposedly the new frontier is not supposed to be the same as the Navara but time will tell i guess.

Since the Frontier could well be the replacement vehicle for at least some who have Xterras now, the big question will be . . . can you fit a hood bonnet to it.

it's pretty much the same hood so yea, you can fit your hood hat on it.
