I didn't mind picking up food across the street, little more variety and we have the lot to ours selves.  Its a lot quicker getting there as well being that much closer to the freeway.

Well in that case, let's just keep it where we were, and everyone can grab food across the street. Looking at Google maps, here's everything that is available across the street:

Rubio's
El Pollo Loco
Sammy's Woodfired Pizza
Pizza Rev
McDonald's
Jack in the Box
Taco Bell
Santorini Island Grill
SR Sushi and Grill
Wahine Kai Shaved Ice
Which Wich
Vons Grocery (Frank B says the sushi is top notch)
Starbucks
Luna Grill
Pick Up Stix

Seems like more variety than we ever had with the food trucks anyway  :o

Santorinis is great Greek food. Volcano feta with pita bread and gyro burger.

I'm pretty sure I said that the pre-packed sushi was "ok", but to be clear it is still nothing like real sushi from a good sushi bar.  By the way, for a really good sushi, the sushi bar at the Fish Market Restaurant on Harbor Drive is truly "top notch".

This Thursday, right?

I moved to San Diego a year ago and still haven't made it to this.  Work sucks.

You are missing out. Went to my first last month. It was great being able to shoot the crap with people that have a common interest.

For sure.  I was really active in the VAXC before I moved to San Diego.  Work has just been that bad

I drove by tonight and the food trucks appear to be back on Thursday nights . . . who knows for how long.
