Ahh man I just got back from there! My friend tagged along with his trail teams FJ, lots of mud in there today! I only like HJ when it's muddy.

It's within walking distance of downtown trabuco canyon. Right off of trabuco canyon road, if you live in orange or the surrounding area you can take Santiago canyon road all the way down to live oak canyon road, which turns into trabuco canyon road. If you wanna take the 241, you'll get off in Rancho Santa Margarita. Take the 241 to Santa margarita parkway, then a left on Plano trabuco road, then that turns into trabuco canyon road.

You really can't miss the trail either, it's right by a small bridge and it leads to the river bed and back into the Cleveland national forest. If you're into hiking I'd definitely drive back there to where the trail ends and parking begins, and hike up to Santiago peak, or check out holy Jim falls. Up to Santiago peak is a nice 16 mile round trip hike.
