North Orange County for trail ride Saturday
« on: June 12, 2013, 11:34:35 PM »
Hello. I've been on thenewx.org for a while, I've had my xterra since 2011 but have yet to officially offroad it.
2007 SE white xterra

Mods: 33 in AT KOs, billstein 5100s, deaver rebuilt leafs. So I'm sitting a few inches higher than stock

Looking into a mellow trail ride for Saturday that won't do any trail modding accidentally. My rides still a daily driver. Any recommendations or anyone wanna go somewhere? Im located in fountain valley.

All CB's need an external antenna unless of course you're going with a handheld one that already has an antenna on it. (I'd suggest a firestik) A lot of guys here (myself included) are running the Uniden 520xl, it's nice and compact, and fits perfectly into the center console. I'm not totally sure if mine can use a lighter plug, but if you need help wiring it without having to use up a lighter plug I plan on writing a little how to after i learned how to install my own CB (with the help of everyone at the mod day, especially duffman!)

I don't know how much of santiago is open right now due to the wild fires, but I would be interested in a meet up / run. I am installing my CB right now and it needs testing.... LOL

I confirmed yesterday with the forest service that all access to Santiago Peak is closed for a while. Indian Truck Trail, North Main Divide, and Trabucco Canyon are all closed until further notice.
