One of my favorite mods that I've done! Now you can handle a trasharoo on there with no weight issues, too. :) That's actually why I upgraded mine in the first place, but I love how much higher it opens now.

Funny, I have a Trasharoo on the way...The stock struts could also stand to be longer, that would help a lot for anyone that doesn't change theirs out.

Do you put the Trasharoo directly on the liftgate?

Installed a ram mount for my tablet to use Torque and Backcountry Navigator. Also routed a usb cable for it under the dash tray and behind the stereo. Transmission flush also done, thanks again Danny!!

Next up, Suspension, when the rest of the parts arrive (hopefully today), and Blue Sea fuse box for fun stuff.

Which ball mount did you use as the base? Thats the final piece to my ram mount puzzle. I'll be mounting in the same location. Does the cubby vibrate while the tablets mounted?

I used this for the base. Wanted something with 4 holes for a more stable mount, in theory...lol

No vibrating or weird noises so far. Does shake a little on bumpy stuff, but the car moves so I wouldn't expect it to stay straight. I did have to do some trimming on the support underneath the tray to get it to sit correctly. Used some large washers to spread the weight a little. Overall it turned out pretty nice.

Just ordered a Goal Zero Yeti 400 from REI.  They are having a 20% off sale for members, free shipping or store pickup, plus I had a dividend from last year's purchases.  Total cost - just under $360

No more worrying about the Engel running out of juice or killing my main battery.
