Removed my mud-guards last night, and managed to not break any of the push clips! :)

Finally had the AFE Hi-tuck from my Frontier modified to fit the Xterra, just a few cuts and slight re-bends. It certainly wasn't a direct fit like AFE said it would be. Oh well, it works now.

You know, I haven't even paid attention to that until now. I'll have to look.

Making electricity flow in the dodge. Working on setting up a 600w audio battery in the back with an isolator so I can power accessories and LEDs in the back.

I installed "The Cure" from Ruff Stuff today on my drag link to try and limit the tie rod from rolling around.  So far I only drove to work but it feels pretty similar to what I had without it.  Tomorrow I'll be replacing the worn out rod ends on my track bar with some nice FK rod ends.

I had the day off! Tried taking off my factory rear shocks to replace with 0-2" 5100's.. PB blasted 'em and tried some more. Then I said, "heck it,  I'm going to Harbor Freight". I bought their biggest 1/2" breaker bar and some sockets and 45 minutes later, I was done.

After a trip to Portillo's for a Maxwell Street polish,  onion rings and a large diet coke (don't laugh,  I've got a figure to maintain) I waddled to the mailbox to find these goodies.. Thanks Geoyota!

I must say it was a good day.

Here are the pictures from when I did "The Cure" from Ruff Stuff and the new track bar rod ends.

Drag link removed from tie rod

The Cure, more or less a hardened plastic bushing to prevent the drag link and tie rod from rolling, installed.

Track bar bolt is too close to the drag link to gain access to

Removed the passenger side tie rod from the knucle.  A lot of room now

Old rod end VS new rod end.  With the old rod end I was able to feel the movement on the bearing with my hands.  Imagine what the weight of the truck was doing to it.  This was the cause of my slight vibration around 55-65 mph on the highway.

Chevy 1 Ton steering kit from Ballistics Fabrication.  Parts Mike is also a good source for steering upgrades and will cut and assemble the linkage but you have to give the measurements.

One end of the track bar had a small edge of metal from when the track bar was cut.

A couple minutes with a hand file and the track bar was looking good.  Wanted to make a nice flat seating area for the lock nut.

Anit-Seize for the next time I make an adjustment or replacement.

Track bar bolt going back in with Red Lock tight.  Torqued to 150 ft lbs.

The reassembly went smoothly and the initial drive was a big difference.  I would strongly suggest anyone using the Calmini SAS kit that has some vibrations to check the track bar rod ends if they are the original ones from the complany.  I used FK rod ends part number JMX12T.  Both sides are right hand threaded.  Summit Racing has them for a good price and shipped to my door in 2 days.
