Sway bar should be the first thing you remove if doing UCA.

Yeah I just realized that when I was thinking what I did wrong yesterday. I didn't do it in the right order.

Good gravy,  I lost 1st gear on my 5spd tranny and need to replace the clutch master cylinder.  I just had new bearings put in on the last rebuld 2 wears ago.  Now I have to fork over another $1300 to rebuild it again.

When I cracked open the t-case from the tranny last night, i was able to see all the little sml metal chunks, gear teeth and bronze gear teeth drain out with the old gear oil.  This just confirmed my worst fear... :-(

Scheduled the install with ORW in Temecula of my PRG Advanced Coilover Kit for next Friday, the 28th. That will give me (finally) PRG Radflo 2.0 Coilovers, PRG Upper Control Arms w/ new bolt, urethane bumpstops, PRG Deaver 2-Leaf Spring Packs, Bilstein 5125's in the back.

I also picked up a 5lb. dry chem fire extinguisher, a set of Staun Deflators and a Smittybilt 2781 Compressor setup so I won't have to mooch air after making runs.

Now I'm just contemplating where to install the bracket for the extinguisher.  I'm thinking on the left side of the cargo bay, below the window, horizontally orientated.  I'll have to pull the trim panel and put an aluminum plate behind it to act as a doubler so the extinguisher won't pull out and flop around.

Still mulling over the question of the bumper. :T

I have that "mooch air" problem too.  You can use 3" in long 10-32 bolts with fender washes and nylon locking nuts.  Easies than a plate.

Got my tranny rebuilt for$1k, took @ 3 days to put in.  Got new bearings and synchros put in, Royal Purple gear oil, Lucas Oil stabilizer so it feels stronger and shifts smoother now.  I had a lot of little things to fix along the way.  Added more DEI exhaust wrap up to the exhaust tip in the back.  Even upgraded the 3" rubber flex hose for the CAI.

Hopefully you got someone else to do it this time and hopefully it will last longer than 2 years.

Yeah, I know.  I got this hole in the wall place that has been around forever in Fontana.  the Old Timer there said he's been there 30+ years so I figured "what tha' heck".  I did all the labor myself, he just rebuilt the internals.  In my defense, I have driven the truck hard from Central Cali to  AZ.

Just bought some rockymtnx rear recovery brackets brand new off someone on TNX, should be getting them within the next week. Looks like I'll have those along with my SL to install.

I like to spend my evenings 3-wheeling in Toro's driveway.

Oh yeah and installing my suspension lift.  ;D

I'll get some pictures up tomorrow!

Thanks for the help Toro!
