That looks great Jay, the black fits well with everything else. What thickness of wood did you use there?

Nice work Jay! Just wondering since you generally sleep in the back are you going to have some sort of extension to level everything out?

I believe it was  3/4" pine , the paint was a return from HD on sale return. lucked out on the colour.

Celt . as for sleeping in back, I built it more for the family camping,
if I'm solo I can remove it with 4 bolts and leave it in storage
always more stuff to bring when the family comes

Installed the Hefty skids and P&P bumper today. I also still need to run power to my Yaesu and my truck will be in a happy place.

I really like that bumper; clean, light and great approach angle.  Well done!

I was going for a minimalist look and this was it. I wasn't sure how it would look without hoops, but I'm pretty happy n with it.

That looks really good Rick, I'd second the minimalist look: having a lot of metal would be good for a rig that's constantly scraping/bashing against the rocks, but for most trucks the less weight and heft the better.
And I don't know if I mentioned before but those wheels are awesome! Down the road I might look into whether Level 8 makes those in the first gen bolt pattern. :D

Where did you get the Ham antenna/antenna mount from?

I'm pretty sure they make wheels in your more normal lug pattern.

That antenna is for the CB, it came with the package I ordered from Right Channel Radios. I have a mount coming for the HAM radio that will go on the hatch.

I, um..... couldn't wait. :(        I'm so impatient.  :P

It started out with "I'll just open the box and look at it all and read the installation manual," then moved to "I'll just see how the template fits against the fender," which evolved into "well, I might as well poke a few of the holes while I have the template mounted up," which finally ended with "well I've come this far, might as well just finish installing it."  ::)

Very happy with how it came out. And don't worry, I'm still coming to the mod day, just to hang out and lend a hand. :)

Yes... the holesaw stage was super scary. I checked the template like 8 times and held the snorkel body up to it like 6 times before I was finally confident enough to drill the holes.  O0 I poked a small one for the holesaw first and removed the template before using the big bit. Came out perfect in the end.  8)
