hi, all. We just picked this up today. Will this work for various little trips? Midland CB Radio w/weather scan. (compact) Also picked up a cobra external speaker and Little Wil 3 1/2"  magnet mount  Hubby has two older larger/better radios. I really didn't want something permanent at this point. As the truck is my daily driver...well, the neighborhood in which the business I work for is located in... well... a not so nice area. If some of the thugs think there is something good in the truck, well here today, and gone in two seconds. Smash n grab

I have tried it many times. It should work.
