Comments:

After owning my 2001 Xterra for 2 years and pouring lots of money into it, I decided to purchase a new Xterra.  The search seemed to end before it even started after seeing a Lava Red Pro-4x at my local dealer, but it was a automatic. :crybaby: After tracking down another dealer 45 mins away with a Lava red that they claimed was manual only to find out it was automatic as well, I traveled another hour away to find my night armor Pro-4x manual on forth of July.  Proceeds from my 2001 will be used for mods on my new rig.  much fun to come.

Hey Jordan...that is a sweet new ride!  Like the Gen 1 too...looks like you are an Xterra vet.

Look forward to wheeling with you in Big Bear during the CANVAZ run...you'll be fine for Rattlesnake Canyon.

You might even consider Gold Mountain the next day...if you want to mod that stock front bumper!

yes i cant wait for big bear, last time i ventured up there i didnt have much luck finding any of the trails.  it will be nice to meet with some veterans who know where they are going.  :)

i was sad to see ol' blue go but it helped alot with getting me started on the 2nd gen.  lots of fun was had in that old truck, but new adventures await.

I really like the fact that you drove it straight from the dealership to the dirt. You'll fit in just fine here.

Welcome  ;)

WhiteKnuckle sliders from usko99 installed, front grill and burger stealthed.  Got a lot done this weekend.

Radflo 2.5 coilovers and 2.0 rear emulsion shocks came in the mail today, so excited. Now I just need the rest of my lift from PRG.

Love the Lift!!

Which kit did you order, as I am looking to do that next. Maybe, once I get it, you 'll give me a hand with the install....MOD Day at my place???

Title: Re: Knightrider's New X
Post by: knightrider on September 15, 2012, 10:35:33 PM
I didn't get a kit, too picky for kits. Specs are in 1st post.  I wanted to do it once and if its not overkill, you're doing it wrong :-) If you do order from PRG, its worth it to call greg, he will set you up with what you need and discount the prices since we are close and  shipping isn't as much for him.  He even threw in 3* shims and camber bolts for free.

If you need help on install or want to ride in my truck to see how it handles let me know.  I'm happy to help.

PRG titan UCA... ordered
PRG extended brake lines...ordered
PRG 1" coilover spacer...free
PRG adjustable rear shackles...ordered
RockAuto Moog Titan inner and outer tierods...ordered
RockAuto Dorman Titan LCA...ordered

still debating between PRG or nisstec on axles.  nisstec is complete, but more money and a stupid core charge.  prg is cheaper but more work.  decisions decisions.
Or i convince paul to sell me his axles :D
man i get so much done when i dont have a job, lol

just a few crappy cell phone pics of my TRS HID retrofit

Item list:
Morimoto 6.0 H1 projectors
morimoto 3Five ballasts with xb35 4300k bulbs
gatling gun shrouds with 100mm amber led halo
9007 motocontrol harness

i used plastidip to try out a few different color options.
also the gatling gun shrouds are a little too big, they touch the lens once everything was put back together so i have to figure something out, either mod them to sit further in, or different shrouds.

all chrome

Looks badass Jordan. Love the KMCs. I'm curious how much fender trimming you'll end up needing to do. I forget if you're running a BL, but I'm guessing no? Do you think the rear will end up with any clearance issues while articulating?

Maybe we can have a fender trimming party at Toro's place. I need to trim my fronts a little. I did some wheeling two weekends ago after having my Radflo's rebuilt and made all kinds of contact with the front fenders. They're all smushed now.

Post by: knightrider on May 29, 2018, 10:52:26 AM
Yea I think I will tackle a bit today, I can only turn my wheel 3/4 of a turn before they start rubbing so slow speed maneuvering in parking lots is a challenge.  I will have to do the top at some point, need to buy some cut off wheels.

No body lift and I really don't want one, the truck is already high so I want to try and maintain as low as possible stance.

Not sure yet about the rear, need to actually flex it out to be sure, right now I do not have wheel spacers on since I had to destroy one since it was seized on the hub, I have one good 1.5"spacer I can throw on to check clearance.
