Title: 2-16-15 (Monday) Rattlesnake Canyon to Big Bear to Pioneer Town

The wife and I will be exploring Rattlesnake Canyon to Big Bear then head to Pioneer Town  for drinks and a burger (Pappy & Harriets) and check out the town. Open invite to SCCX if you want to join.

Monday, February 16th, 2015, we will run Rattlesnake Canyon in Big Bear, California.

Rattlesnake Canyon

DATE: Monday, February 16th, 2015 at 11:00 am

MEET SPOT:

February 16th, 2015 at 10:30 am -- Rattlesnake Canyon Rd and Highway 247 junction

Look for the Khaki beast
The group will be leaving @ 11:00 am.

**Please have a full tank of gas when you arrive**

Rattlesnake Canyon ~ Moderate: ~ 25miles & 4 - 6 hours, weather permitting

Starts off in the high desert washes, passes through a fun rocky, canyon, by some yucca & Joshua trees with a mine site and optional short dry waterfall climb along the way. At the burns canyon intersection we

Ok you two.   I'm about 90% a go for this one.  Sounds fun especially the burgers and beer   ;D

We might be able to make this one, gotta talk to the wife and see if we have any plans.  Gotta make sure I've got the day off too.

Once off the trail, my Rig suddenly went limb. It was stuck in park and I was unable to shift the transmission. Terry knew it must be a linkage problem. After about 20 mins of searching under the truck for a problem, we switched to the interior. I tore apart my center console and Terry saw the problem, a bent shift cable. The plastic guide sleeve had come loose allowing the cable to bend when trying to shift. Mrs. 0317 had a new job the rest of the trip, hold the guide sleeve when ever I needed to shift. Least we got off the trail.
