 Those two campsites that OccupantX put the link to are group camp sites and should be well suited for all of us in a group site. The YP max occupancy is two vehicles.

Sry my bad I was under the impression it was too far out of route for ur group. I'd be ok with Juniper Springs group campground. Doesn't look so bad of a ride out early morning to hwy 38 since i'll be checking out then.

Something came up. I'm out for this trip! If someone wants to step up and keep it going, by all means go for it! If you guys would rather reschedule for another date thats ok too! Pm me the date u wanna try this if that suits u better as well.

 Plans are now evolving and we are talking about going up on Friday evening and camping to Sunday. If others want they can just run different trails.

No worries, live happens
We can do this another time if there's more interest and and better time that suits more people's schedule...like father's day, no wife can veto a guy's plan on father's day. Unless you have no kids...

No hunting for campsite with enough space for all vehicles, and we'll get to log plenty of hours.

  I think some can't go because of mother's day or maybe they are just otherwise busy. Were still headed up on Friday evening and will come home Sunday. I think we will probably shoot for those campsites you suggested as they are on the way into Big Bear from the 38 with tons of room.

  That's great my whole family would love to see you guys! If you are interested in Gold Mountain we will be at the trailhead at 0900 airing down Saturday morning. On Friday night were shooting for here: https://goo.gl/maps/GvGZJBiooxE2 Saturday night is still up in the air depending upon what time we get off the trail but I'd like to return to the same place. We were thinking about going into town for Mother's day breakfast for Mrs. Celt.

Going from the assumption then this Rattlesnake trip is not happening, but Gold Mountain/John Bull is?
Now I can sleep in, warm and cozy 'cause it looks like Big Bear will be cold (low 32, high 60 predicted)
