Looks like it will be 2 rooms on our end.  AJ will be heading home after the trip.

Harrah's seems to have the best layout for safe parking and closer to the trail head.  I don't need fancy Aquarius.

So were you saying Harrahs? Please make sure AJ knows we may not be off the trail until dark. I'm not trying to tell anyone what to do but that would be a very long day for anyone and I would hate to see anything bad happen along the way home.

I relayed the message. He said he will probably split off after the 2nd camp in the mountains like last year.

Ok, so I'm sending in the contract for Harrah's on the group rate. Once I get the code, I will either post it up here or PM it to each of you. Everyone needs to reserve their own rooms. It's going to work the same as last year. Go onto their website and plug in the code and pay for it using your preferred method. That's it, super simple.

I was thinking about a comms plan for the trip so everyone would have it. I thought Sage Bromax's plan from the last WMJR is the way to go:

Use repeaters for initial contact, or in case of emergency.  When within range, switch to a simplex frequency.

Other request I have is someone to volunteer to herd cats on the trip? I should have the hotel group rate code in the next few days so stand by for that. We can come up with a CB channel for the non-hams prior to leaving if you wish. If anyone has anything they would like to bring up please by all means.

Remember At minimum TWO bundles of wood each

I have a lot of cat herding experience.  I'm your huckleberry.   8)

I would recommend more..I remember how much we would have liked to have a fire in the morning of the 2nd camp in the mountains.  I will volunteer to bring 3 bundles for the trip, one of them being dedicated for 2nd camp morning.

Thanks buddy, I appreciate you stepping up! Two is minimum but if people can bring more, it would be great. You did look a little cold that morning..   :D. If we have a bunch left over we can always cache it somewhere there in the N.Y. mountains for the guys on the return trip.
