Also for the record, I have the full trip in .GPX if anyone wants a copy. It is the full GPS track from start to finish, with waypoints of the major stops we made. Fairly fun to look at in a topographic map app or Google Earth!

Yes I would like that a lot.   I had a route in my garmin which Danny took about 30% of.  But I know that his route is the true "Mojave Road Route".  I will PM my email address.

Thank you,
Terry

Looks like it was a fun trip.  I'm sure it was way better than what I wound up doing for a good portion of the weekend, which was working.

Marshann's second picture (all the trucks lined up) and Mark's last shot of the trucks crossing Soda Lake, are particularly nice.  So are a lot of the others, but there were almost too many to go through.  Some great cactus shots too.  That shows you don't always have to have a truck in the shot.  There is some great scenery out there.  Also liked the lava cave shots with the beam of light - I really need to get there one of these days.

By the way, what's the deal with what looks like a bumper on the John's roof rack during the water crossing?

That was a Raptor hood that we came across on Soda Lake. Seems like one had rolled out there. There was more debris, and John was doing his part to Tread Lightly.

Scott's correct...while driving across Soda Dry Lake, Randy, Terry and I came across the debris from what looked to be a race truck/pre-runner roll over.

The three of us grabbed the biggest piece and put it on my roof for disposal later.  I actually left it at the over pass on Afton Road, as I didn't want to travel at highway speed with it on my roof.  There was so much trash there, and my Trasharoo was full as well, that I felt a bit guilty but safe leaving it there amongst the other flotsam and jetsam of deserted articles.

My casualty of the Mojave, I lost a cap on my battery.  Picked up a diehard platinum 31m series battery.  1150 CCA and probably the largest that would fit, and like a glove it did.  Just had to extend the positive 2 inches

All of these photos are awesome!! The video is especially cool - watching those big Xterras criss-crossing through the flats at those high speeds! May never forgive myself for missing this trip >.< but it just leaves me more excited for next year...

Glad everyone made it home safe!
