More fab work done today. I'd guess about a week till she's on her own weight.

More work has been done.

The trans mount is finished and painted and put back into place. Should be good won't know till I get that front drive shaft made.







Front cross member is in place and primed.



And the coilover hoops are fully welded in and primed and started painting them.





And finally the axles and links are painted and primed.

Definitely looking forward to the final product.  This is going to be one very capable rig!

So today I gave in and took the front, rear axles and transfer case in to get rebuilt. A week to week and half turn around time and all for somewhere around 600 to 700 bucks.

Once these get done it will almost back on the road again. And with those out I can work on things on the X at the same time.

So the transfer case is back from the shop and I'm working on putting in it but here's some teasers pics to hold you all over for now.

And started her to make sure I didn't fry the computer with all the welding that was done. Let's just she started right up and was pissed off to all hell then calm downed but was still pissed

   What kind of steel is that, out towards the sides?

The mount is made out of 1" 0.25 wall square tubing

Here's some pics of today's work. Front axles is installed minus the driver side shaft (waiting on new one since ends were bent). Passenger side is complete and weight bering.

hydro assist ram mounted just need to run lines next.

Weight test went good but going to change the springs from 300/300 to 250/300 should sit alittle better

Next is the driver side shaft which should be in next week and along with additional springs to finish the coilovers. After that it's time to run steering lines and brake lines for the front and install the rear axle and new shocks the send out info for drive shafts front and rear. So close now I can almost seeing her driving again.
