1) Meet time is 9:30 am at the intersection of Vale Drive and Burns Canyon Road in the community of Baldwin Lake (linky to map:
here)
2) Trip is 2 wheel drive friendly, family friendly, and stock friendly
3) Be sure you're gassed up and full of breakfast by the time you hit the meet spot. The meeting place is in the heart of a residential neighborhood, so we need to be quiet and respectful. The plan for this spot is to quickly come together as a group, air down our tires and hit the trail.
4) The group will run down the mountain toward Pioneertown. There will be a potluck style picnic/bbq at the end of the trail, and most of the group will hang out in this spot for a few hours to socialize and mingle. Many will also spend time "playing around" in the area - there will be fun little short trails that you can test your skills on, or get cool photos of each other.
5) The end of the trail activities with these SCXF group runs tend to be very relaxed. Some people will hang out all day, some will depart at the end of the trail run to get home at a decent hour, and no one will care either way. Remember that the experience and skill levels among everyone on this run vary widely, from newbie all the way up to seasoned veteran trailblazers. Just show up with a good attitude and be ready to have some fun! Maybe you'll get an opportunity to learn something new, or maybe you'll get an opportunity to teach someone else something new.
6) Please post if you're "In" for this trip, and if you plan to participate in the potluck. It'll help us give an accurate list over to SCXF before the trip, so everyone knows what to expect. Some folks are also planning to camp in the Big Bear area on Saturday night, and I've tried to capture that info below:

Bookface LinkyI have been chatting with Jon Nguyen/TheSeXterra who heads up SCXF, and after a LOT of back and forth PM'ing/messaging/missed-messaging he threw up a poll over on Facebook (their club portal for everything Xterra/Frontier) to get the word out.
Everyone voted for 2N02 and a little AAT love (which is GREAT, thanks in advance everyone) and the date of Sunday July 31st.
If I am not scheduled at work I will make a sincere effort to be there...can anyone else at SCCX make an effor to show and teach some AAT newbies how to groom and love the good ole' 2N02?
