... Buying new tires

Hey guys, I'm currently running 265/70R17's on my 2002 SC. I haven't had any rubbing. I'd like to go a size larger.
I'm going to be installing the 2" body lift and the 3" suspension lift as soon as I have the money but my tires are getting old and can no longer take me on a trail so I need to buy new tires first and I don't want them to look all tiny once the truck is lifted up.
I want the KM2's and I noticed the only 2 sizes that are available for the X are the size I have now, the 265/70's and the 285/70's... Are the 265/70's going to look like crap once I get lifted--I guess that's the main question I have.
I'm also considering just going ahead and purchasing the $300 body lift but It's a big debate in my head because I currently have a brush guard on the front and don't want to get the body lift until I can afford the $900 Shrock bumper that's pre-fabbed to fit a body lift....

I'm running stock size KM2's with my 3" suspension lift. The first generation trucks will be a bit different looking.

Yeah, gotta love those KM2's.
I'm just in a predicament because I need some new tires right now but I can't get the lift yet. I'm thinking I may get some used 265/70R17's again and just use those until I can get the Body Lift + new front bumper... then i'll work on getting the 275/70R17 (33's). They are WAY more expensive though! I just don't want to get smaller tires that are going to last me a few years and look dinky on a BL/SL.
You're looks great!

You could save some good money by going with Treadwright tires and then you'd have enough for the body lift too. This way can get the larger tires and lift immediately. I've been hearing really good things about Treadwright's. They are retreads though so not everyone is comfortable with that.

I got the Goodyear Wrangler MT/R'S but I can't argue the lower price of the BFG KM2's.

Be careful with the Treadwrights....I had a friend who ordered them and had severe balancing issues. The company was great in accepting the return, but the time and convenience involved in all of that was frustrating.

I finally ended up ordering 2 of the KM2's vs 4 of the Treadwrights. I was about to order the retreads instead but found too many reasons not to.
I guess I'll have to wait another week or two before I can complete the order... and then yet another wait before I can order the 5th (spare) lol.
