2005+ fuel sending unit replaced

I just replaced my 06 Xterra fuel sending unit due to bad fuel gage reading and check engine light on, but I still get the check engine light. Anybody have this problem, need help.

i'd just disconnect your negative terminal on the battery for like 10 minutes and then throw it back on. that should reset your X's system and get rid of the code. then see if it comes back.
