My X started leaking water from the exhaust a few months back.  I have been watching the coolant levels closely and it appears not to be coming from the coolant.  It's leaking directly from my muffler and the end of the exhaust pipe.   I know a few drops from the tail pipe from time to time is normal but this is a bit more.

I haven't really paid attention to see if it leaks after the engine warms up because I live next to my office so it's always a short drive.

Without knowing how much water is there, some water coming from the pipe and below the muffler is normal condensation.  You'll see it before everything warms up.  There is actually a hole drilled at the lowest point of the muffler to let it drain, so there won't be rust damage internally.

It can be what seems like a good puddle, which is normal.

I agree with Bobby. Some water is normal but if you get more than a trickle or lot's of visible steam than you might have other issues.

That's exactly what it was...  Never happens after the engine gets to a normal temp.

water is an bi-product of combustion. This is one of the reasons that shorts trips are not good with conventional oil since the water doesnt have time to burn off
