I have been wanting to do this for a while, and took the plunge yesterday.  Really pleased with the results, as the wheels now match the roof rack and plastic fender cladding.  PM me if you have questions about the prep/paint/time etc.  It was surprisingly easy.

Duplicolor High Performance Wheel Paint, graphite color.

220 grit sand paper.

Acetone.

Blue masking tape.

Newspaper.

Razor blade and sharp screwdriver to remove excess double sided tape on the inside of the wheels from wheel weights.

It took me about a day to do this properly, but with a little patience and ingenuity, it works.

Also, check this link for tips and advice:

Nice!

You'll need to do a bit better than 220 grit on my used wheels but you can polish them up and paint them too.

That is what I am planning on doing.  Looked up the tire pressure sensors on thenewx, and it seems that the prices vary.  But, as an extra set of wheels, this is an excellent option.  Thx again Paul.
