Hey,

I'm thinking about going into the San Gabriel Mtns tomorrow, what is the best trail up there? - and are any of them really worth it?    I'd like to get away from all the mt. bikin' yuppies (no offence to mt. bikin' yuppies on the forum).  I don't really have the budget to get out to the desert like i want but i figured there 'had' to be something fun up there.  do you know if they are still closing the gates at 4pm? 

Is it worth buying the $8 pass?  I'm not a fan of giving my money to the UN Worldbank - Contrary to popular 4x4  gospel - they do not use that money to clean the parks.
