Hey,

Anyone know a good performance intake for supercharged xterra?  ('02)

I see some AEM intakes that look good but none mention if they can fit SC Xterra.

I will suggest that you skip the K&N.  Kind of poorly engineered compared to the ones for NA engines, IMHO.  I had one and it came apart on the Mojave Road, shorting out my MAF sensor.  Big huge PITA and cost because of that.

It also sounded like a sucking chest wound when you accelerated.  I went back to stock when I put in the snorkel.

I just ordered one from AEM.

My stock one has a rip in it, sadly i'll probably have to go for the stock one again when i get a snorkel, but that prob won't be for another year.

Looking to get the suspension lift and body lift and front bumper when i get another commission check.   your X is sweeeet.   I like the frontier that i've seen in belmont shore as well.   I remember when it still had the bed on it.... Why'd ya take it off?!

I have the Volant (thanks Bobby) and I really like it because the box is fully enclosed.

I installed the AEM brute force today.  Easy.

Definitely a louder sound from up front, the supercharger volume has increased 100%.  I also have faster accelerator response time and a slight boost in overall performance.

AEM appears to be similar to the K&N.  seems to be sturdy enough but I'll keep my eyes on it based on what you said Bobby.   I just ripped my stock intake and couldn't really afford the volant intakes at the time.   And I do want to get the snorkel one of these days.
