While I was up in Big Bear this weekend I decided to check out the trails to see if there was any hope of getting in even an easy cruise through the mountains.  I know the trails tend to open early April, and this year’s snowfall of approximately 116 inches compared to an average of 62 inches will be keeping the trails closed for a couple more weeks from what I saw.  The high temperatures are turning trails into streams and creating a lot of mud.

want to stop up there next weekend as well?  i was planning on taking the wife and dogs, hopefully have new tires by then too!

Sorry can't do it next weekend.  It's still going to be rough up there I think.  I'm really looking forward tog etting this season started though.  I love the desert but it's time for a change.

No, It's on Holcomb Valley Rd. right at the cabin looking west.  Van Dusen is closed.
