Running the Mojave Trail tomorrow starting out at the AZ border back to the west and home by Saturday. I want to see Soda Lake ... but plan on having to by-pass it.
It's been almost a month now since I was in that area, but all of the "dry" lakes were anything but dry. Good call on bypassing Soda Lake. It would be cool to see though, you should get some good pics. Have a good and safe trip. |

May I suggest you run the trail all the way out to Palo Verde? There is still a lot to see past the Wiley Wells cutoff like the Pebble Beach area. Sounds like some good geode hunting out there,agate,jasper etc. I am probable day tripper but would like to rock hound some time. Should we bring wood?
