What does Removing it do exactly? I herd something about articulation or somthing.

And what are these Rear Quick disconnects i see on 4x4parts? do i need this to off road with out the sway?

Removing the rear sway bar will help in two ways:

-- Articulation is increased because the links tying everything together are removed

-- Removing the bar means that it won't contact the shock any longer, also increasing droop

I've never met one person whose regretted removing the rear sway bar.  I took mine off and didn't notice a difference.  I tried the sway bar disconnects in the beginning and decided they weren't worth it for me.  If you do go for them, be prepared that they will rattle.

If you put on a set of good shocks -- ones that are a bit longer than stock (i.e. for a lifted X) -- that will help your handling far more than the sway bar.

Now the front sway bar, that's another matter.  Pull that on a daily driver and you will notice a difference, and depending on speed, conditions and how much weight you have higher than lower, not always for the better.

so when offroading i Should disconect the rear AND front. but when i get back on the road i should put the front back on? rear dosent realy matter if its on or off? ok i kinda get it haha.
i understand why to put the front back on because a friend of mine took his off on his Explorer and was three wheeling around turns hahah:D

is it easy to disconect the sway bars on and off?

just leave the front one on. the offroad performance of removing it is very small. take the rear one off and throw it in the garbage. if you want to keep it, yes it is very easy to put back on.

rear-take off and ditch
front-leave on

Throw away the rear sway bar.  Do not keep it.  It will only take up room in your garage.

Agreed. Driving without a front sway bar is ... exciting. Like turning the steering wheel and feeling the understeer like you've never ever felt, or going around a clover leaf and tilting way way over. I had a front sway bar link break on the Bradshaw one year and drove around for a week while awaiting the part ... not fun. The rear has been gone for years - no problem.

I took off my rear sway bar two years ago, load the trunk with construction tools and still haven't noticed a difference.  The front ones I leave on even when offroading.  I upgraded the front rubber with Energy Suspension red polyurethane bushings (avail. at autozone) to make it all stiffer and it did improve the ride because everything is more under control.  Besides she likes it stiff (wink, wink)!

How about a better picture of that poster in the back?  Who's the girl?  Better yet, where do I get one of my own?
