shackles are mounted at the stock tow point.  We made the hole bigger

oops one more questions. was there any bending of the main plate on yours Mitch?
what size bolts did you use?

The bend is at the back where the plate begins to flair out.  The are the ones that hold the bumper molding brackets,but about an inch longer.

alright i got the metal. went to metal depo and they had a 3x3 foot peice of 1/4 inch sheet in the scrap bin. got it for 58 bux. they dident have any 3/16 already cut. so i just said F it. now...does anybody here have a way to cut this beast? plasma cutter or a beastly sheer cutter? oh and something to bend it?

you are most likely going to need to take it to a metal shop to have them bend it for you for it to look clean.
