EXPLORE GALAXIES AT STAR PARTY

When: Friday, Jul 17, 2009
Where: From Hwy 15 take Scripps Poway Parkway east to Highway 67. Head South approximately ½ mile. Entrance to park is on right hand side.
Description: Join SDAA volunteer astronomers and County Parks for a night with the stars. Come experience the chance to view Saturn, the Great Hercules Cluster, the Ring Nebula, and the Dumbbell Nebula as well as many more. These events are informative and fun for the whole family. We promise you will be wowed by this star experience! Program will be held at Highway 67 Staging area accessed Highway 67 southbound only. RAIN or CLOUDS CANCEL.

CAMPING WITH THE STARS
When: Jul 17 – 18 2009
Where: William Heise Park 4945 Heise Park Road, Julian
Description: Get out into Mother Nature and camp under the stars. See beautiful constellations and the spectacular sky away from the bright lights of the city. To make a reservation, visit here http://www.co.san-diego.ca.us/parks/Camping/heise.html.

The Star Party (the first one listed) is in San Diego, about 11 miles east of I-15. Scripps Poway Parkway is about half way between Escondido and downtown San Diego, a little north of the Marine Corps Air Station Miramar.

The camping one listed as being in Julian looks to be in Julian.

That's unpossible.  He's way too dug in.

Perhaps he wasn't wearing his AFDB. Maybe, in an incredibly unfortunate bit of bad timing, he had sent it out to be cleaned or something.

I'm ok!  Just for everyone's edification, AFDB are for blocking the aliens from reading your thoughts.  They are not much help against killer bots.  For killier bots you have to use Star Trek reverse logic trick thingies.
