I found a SC V6 3.3L engine out of a 2001 Frontier with a 2wd trans for sale.

Can I bolt a super charged 3.3L engine up to my 4wd transmission that was previously paired with a NON SC 3.3L?

Do I need new wiring?

I want to get a SC engine in my xterra and throw my existing engine in a samurai.  If the swap works, it should give me 210hp in my xterra and 180hp in my samurai (granted I can find 4x4 transfer case and trans).  Any ideas?  The 63hp in my samurai just won't cut it and I want to flat tow it with my xterra.

It will bolt......but will it last, who knows. From my research lately the S/C transmissions had bigger bands and a different valve body than that of the N/A transmissions. But.....if you can score the trans with the motor you can make it work. I say this b/c you should only need your 4wd trans output shaft and tailhousing to make it work. Granted you will have to open up both transmissions to make it work, but you can swap. In the end you will have your original 4wd trans left over with the Desert Runner transmission converted over to 4wd by using your 4wd output shaft and tailhousing.

Nissan only made the S/C motor to produce an extra 40-50 Hp over the n/a engine.  For such small a difference, I believe that Nissan would make the same transmission for both the 2WD and 4WD.  That tranny should easily handle up to 350 Hp as it is.  The bolt patterns are the same as well as all the mounting points.  All you have to do is add the Transfer case and the other stuff.  Should be no problem at all.

The internals are different on a S/C motor are different and so is the valve body. I am sure your trans will work with it, but it will probably feel as slow as it does now with out any quicker shifts (difference in valve body).

To make it work on a NA motor you need more than just the SC: computer, injectors, wiring harness, tstat, and other stuff is different not to mention the transmission if you have a auto.

Unless you get the whole vehicle or access to the other parts cheap I would look elsewhere.
