I have a genral knowledge of how to tackl this with the help of the likes of Bobby. But has onyone here ventured oyt yet to replace the stockers?

I have some really nice upgraded ones and I am getting concerned about the passenger side removal. Begining to wonder if I should just pay out and get it done at a shop that my buddy works at.

I know what side each goes on, and all that

This is easy Chris...

It's like cranking your torsion bar... but just a few more steps needed to be done... more like re-indexing... but with the new TB.

Brian had a link long time ago which proved to be really helpful when I re-indexed mine.

Yeah, shouldn't be too tough.  Just soak the splined areas w/ PB blaster or Aero Kroil for a while before you try and pull the old ones out.  It should help loosen up any rust or dirt.

how do i know where to start with the new bars , matching the splines and  all? Does it matter? This is one of my issues.

Passenger side is suppose to be tough to get to. Form what I read.

I remember having a bit of an issue on the driver side due to clearance issues brought by the exhaust and transfer case along the same area as the tightening bolt.

I can handle PITA. AS we did the diff drop without blood shed.

I guess it doesnt matter where I start the new TB. I was thing when we do the re-index we mark the position. So I am wondering if we have to mark something with the new?
