Max tire size with the PML I believe is 32" with some trimming (depending on the year), and the PML can take you quite a ways.

Something to think about: do you already have skids and/or slider?  Getting those is almost as good as getting another inch of lift because  your under carriage is smooth and rocks don't get caught up on the support beams. Plus they'll stay with you for the life of the truck, except for the front engine skid plate if you go SAS.

IMO it would be a better investment than powder coating the rims. If you look at the underside of my truck you'll see big long scraps that go the length of both engine and transfer case skids. Any one of those scraps would have stopped progress if they had got caught on a cross member. Like I said, something to think about.

Dude, let me know when you want to do the sliders and the quick disconnects.  I'm home for at least three more weeks so name the day.  The only thing is that you will need some help because I cannot do any lifting or wrenching or basically anything fun.  But I'm here for you.

When I was researching lift kits for my gen 1, I came to the conclusion Calmini seems to be the best bang for the buck.  Calmini (a specialist company) seems to make the strongest/most durable bolt on IFS kit but it is still an IFS front end.  The guys at Total Choas want too much money for 9 inches of travel after you buy new from axels, fiberglass fenders, coilover shocks, steering system, etc.

I take my truck to the sand so the TC kit makes more sense than a SAS swap.  Because of the wait time, difficulty to install, and additional cost for needed parts, etc. I am waiting for the 3" Calmini kit.  They are on back order until the beginning of the year. Sad

Let me know what you select and how it turns out.
